The folks behind the new Canine Cafe ABQ adoption center are seeking a few more volunteers before grand opening
Woof, woof alert! The folks behind the new Canine Cafe ABQ adoption center at 6105 Menaul NE are seeking a few more kind-hearted volunteers to help in final preparations for its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
“We still have lots of work to do this week and could really use the extra people power,” organizers with New Mexico Pets Alive! said in a news release.
Volunteers can assist with on-site animal
care and handling; with photography and video production; with special events; with general help in the Canine Cafe retail area; and help adopters find great forever fur-friends.
If you can’t volunteer, but still want to help, consider clicking on the signup roster to foster an incoming pup or adult dog.
If you can neither volunteer nor foster, you can still help the organization double the number of lives it saves this year by making a donation at www. caninecafe.org.
Companies are free to donate or sponsor a rescue.
Organizers said that all donations in any amount are being matched to $2.5million to assist more at-risk homeless pets across New Mexico.
“Woof and thank you,” organizers concluded their appeal.
