Schritter, Clarence Raymond

-

Clarence Raymond Schritter passed into the gates of heaven on February 18, 2017. His pain and suffering are no more. Clarence was born July 16, 1931 in LaSalle, CO. He was the son of a farmer in simpler times and many stories of farm-life & school in a one-room school house were often told.

He served in the National Guard before enlisting in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. After returning from the war he found himself in Sterling, CO where he began his career in the appliance service industry, but more importantly he found the love of his life, Lena. They were married August 28, 1957, and this union produced 6 children. In 1973 Clarence moved the family to Albuquerque and in 1976 started Quality Appliance Service Company, which he owned until 1993 when he sold it and went to enjoy the fruits of his labor and his passion - restoring Model T cars. He was well known throughout the U.S. for being a "go-to guy" for knowledge and rebuilding of these beauties. Clarence and Lena traveled the U.S. in their motorhome often with their grandchildren, visiting many sites and creating many memories to last more than a lifetime.

Left to mourn his loss and celebrate his heavenly reward is his wife of 59 years Lena; his sons Ray (Becky), Bill (Robin), Rick, Dave (Pam), and daughter Sharon (Mark) Dominguez. He also leaves eight grandchildren & four great-grandchildren and his beloved Chihuahua, Daisy. Welcoming him into heaven is his 2nd born son Robert. Special thanks to those who provided care to Dad in his declining years.

A public visitation will be held at Daniels Mortuary; 4310 Sara Rd; Rio Rancho, NM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5-7pm and rosary at 7pm. Christian burial mass to be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church; 1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 10:30 am with internment at Vista Verde Memorial Park immediately following mass.
