Voters look for Pearce

Rep. Steve Pearce recently made one of his tele-town hall calls where he took questions from about 20 constituents. Of that group, only one caller was from Las Cruces, at 100,000 people, the second largest city in New Mexico. Volunteers have been visiting Rep. Pearce’s Las Cruces office every week since Jan. 15 in an effort to get him to visit Las Cruces. These voters deliver individually written letters expressing their concerns about the issues facing southern New Mexico. Last week more than 60 people from Las Cruces and smaller cities in Pearce’s 2nd District gathered at his Las Cruces office to voice these concerns. His staff locked us out of the office, then fled out the back door. We were left wondering, is Steve Pearce a real person? Who is the man behind the voice on the phone? Please, Rep.
