Robert M. "Bob" Stockett, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Wednesday, February

22, 2017 in Las Cruces, NM.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bonnie; daughters, Lynda Courtright and husband, Geoffrey, and Barbara Morris and husband, Tom; seven grandchildren, Tomi Sundheimer and husband, Jay, Bobi Morris, Joe Courtright, Carrell Courtright, Victor Courtright, Pearl Sukow, and Bryan Courtright; great-grandchildren, Judah, William, Jacob, and Matthew; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Bob was born in 1925 in Washington D.C. and after graduation from high school and upon becoming 18, he entered the United States Army where he proudly served during the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. After the war he returned to Washington DC where he met the love of his life, Bonnie, and they were married in 1948. Upon moving to Albuquerque, he worked as a salesperson for an office supply company, purchasing it a few years later. Bob owned Albuquerque Stationery Office Supply and he and Bonnie owned Howden Stationery Company. They started "Shooting Stars" square-dance club and Bob was the caller. After retirement Bob was a master gardener and woodcarver. Bob and Bonnie loved to travel in their trailer and were in the "Young at Heart Choir" for over twenty years. He loved classical music and spending time with family. Bob was a man of integrity and a great role model. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends may visit Monday, February 27, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at Albuquerque First Baptist Church, 4101 Paseo del Norte, NW with Pastor Michael Cook officiating.
