Sanchez, Denise Antoinette

Denise Antoinette Sanchez, born on January 1, 1961 and passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 17, 2017 surrounded by loved ones.

Denise was preceded in death by her father Raymond (Jimmy) Sanchez; maternal grandparents, Joe and Edith Garcia; paternal grandfather, Ramon Sanchez; uncles, Danny Garcia and Alex Sanchez and her beloved nephew, Joshua J. Sanchez.

She is survived by her mother Theresa (Teri) Sanchez; brother, Dennis; sister, Dee Sanchez (Lissa); niece, Tyger; great nephews, Jonah and Atreyu; as well as cousins and many special friends.

Denise was an Alumni of Valley High School and attended UNM. She retired from APS as a Job Coach for people with special needs. Denise performed her job with love and compassion and was loved and respected by those she mentored. Denise also made a positive impact on youth throughout the years while employed with Bernalillo County Parks and Rec. and as a Coach for APS. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, good humor and creativity. She loved the outdoors, including biking, fishing with her brother Dennis, playing softball, gardening and most of all her beloved pets.

She was a member of Sagebrush Church and celebrated her love for God throughout her daily life.

Denise takes a piece of each of us with her, while we cherish great memories and are blessed by her great spirit.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
