Carolyn Earnestine Cranfill, 82, walked on, in the Potawatomi way, March 30, 2017, in Chandler, AZ. Beloved wife, mother, grandmothe­r, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend of many. Carolyn leaves her daughter Karen Morton and husband Doug Morton and grandsons Colin Morton and Kyle Morton; her daughter Robin Macko and husband Steve Macko and granddaugh­ter Sophia Macko and grandson Nicholas Macko; her daughter Jana Thompson and husband Scott Thompson and grandson Jacob Thompson; her brothers Charles Fox and David Fox and wife Dottie Fox, her brother-in-law Hank Cranfill and wife Charlotte Cranfill; sister-in-law Sandy Cranfill, and nephews/ nieces.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Cranfill, and her parents William Carroll and Hazel Lee Fox. Carolyn was born on July 30, 1934 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was a citizen of the Potawatomi Nation, and learned some heritage from her grandmothe­r. She attended Oklahoma A&M, where she met Robert Cranfill. They were married on January 22, 1955, and eventually settled in Albuquerqu­e, New Mexico, where they raised three daughters. Carolyn had a creative spirit, and was an active member of the New Mexico Art League, made wedding cakes for family and friends and sewed square dance dresses. She was always creating something. Robert and Carolyn were active members of Asbury Methodist Church. After retirement, Robert and Carolyn moved to Chandler, AZ to be near family. Robert and Carolyn enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and traveling.

Memorial Services will be held at a future date in Chandler, AZ.
