Angelina Jolie starred in a ■ public service TV commercial in which she issued a plea on behalf of the children of Africa for food donations. The ad produced results right away. The children of Africa immediately pitched in what they had, and now Angelina is getting the nourishment she needs.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that ■ San Francisco observed National Marijuana Day on Thursday. It just so happens that National Marijuana Day falls on the same day as the birthday of Adolf Hitler. The day makes some people hungry for Twinkies and other people hungry for Poland.

U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., marked ■ National Marijuana Day by saying pot smoking is mainstream. In Colorado, a church has been formed that worships the smoking of marijuana; it’s called the International Church of Cannabis. Their favorite hymn is Amazing Grass.

Fox News Chairman James Murdoch decided ■ Wednesday to pull the plug on Bill O’Reilly’s career at Fox News amid cascading claims by women against the newscaster. He may need to get help. The last straw was when O’Reilly was sued for harassment by two dozen melons at Safeway.
