SANTA FE HUMANE SOCIETY
Stop by the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society to meet Slinky, an adorable 1-year-old brown tabby female. She came to the shelter injured, but is all healed now and ready for a new family. She loves to stretch out her paws and take sunny cat naps.
This week’s canine is Sparky, a 2-year-old mixed-breed male. He’s a happy dog who would be a great fit for any family. The shelter staff thinks he may have a little Australian shepherd in him. He certainly will be a loyal companion.
These and other animals are available for adoption from the shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. See these and others up for adoption online at www.sfhumanesociety.org or call 983-4309 ext. 610.
Visit adoptable animals in the community during the shelter’s weekend mobile adoption events on Saturday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., when the shelter team will be at the Los Alamos Earth Day Adoption Event at the Parjarito Environmental Education Center, 2600 Canyon Road in Los Alamos. Then, on Sunday, the team is at PetSmart Santa Fe, 3561 Zafarano Drive, from noon-3 p.m.
