RAPID-FIRE COMEDY
Pablo Francisco to perform at Santa Ana Star Casino
Pablo Francisco is working on a new onehour special.
And his latest shows are serving as a launching point for some of the material.
“I’m making fun of Dog the Bounty Hunter,” he says during a recent phone interview. “I’ve also got a bit about making fun of all the detective series on TV right now. Now we can make fun of everybody.”
Francisco is a comedian who has earned a reputation for his talent for weaving together offthe-wall characters and spot-on impressions.
He draws his audiences into his vivid imagination and takes them on a wild ride as they experience his spontaneous outbursts, clever insights and some of the funniest rapid-fire comedy ever unleashed.
He will be in the Land of Enchantment for four shows, and fans will have an opportunity to catch a glimpse of his hilarious new material as he prepares to shoot a one-hour comedy special titled “Here We Go Again.”
Francisco’s two Comedy Central one-hour specials — “They Put It out There” and “Ouch!” — are on the network’s most requested list. Later this year, his stand-up will be featured on the new MTV show “Acting Out.”
“There’s really nothing that is off-limits,” he says. “I try to create a show that is full of laughter and spontaneity. It’s a challenge to do that.”
Francisco’s popularity is not limited to the stage and TV.
His outrageously funny material has attracted over 100 million YouTube views, and his worldwide fan base continues to grow, with over 154,000 Facebook fans and thousands of Twitter followers.
His stand-up career has only grown since he was on “Mad TV,” where he got his start.
Since then, he’s been on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” Comedy Central’s “The Show Biz Show With David Spade” and “Mind of Mencia” and was on the spring finale of VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz.”
“I take everything as a learning experience,” he says. “Then I try to put it together as a show. It’s amazing to see what comes out of me during a show.”
