THE ARTICLE in (Thursday’s) Journal announcing that Antino Jackson was joining the Lobos illustrates why I believe Geoff is the BEST sports writer that I have ever followed. First the timely article and supporting facts about who Antino is, which is where some writers stop. Then he reminds us about Troy Simmons , then ties in Jordan Hunter to make the point that Weir is not afraid of running a small lineup. But The best was including the comparison that he is only the third transfer to come in an having already scored over 1000 points.

INTERESTING ARTICLE on ESPN viewership decrease. I find myself watching it less and less. My feeling is they want to make it a more politically a correct channel with more entertainment and less sports. They try to push their views on their audience. I once heard one of their talking heads, I think it was Jay Bilas, when discussing some political view, describe those who agreed with his point of view as right thinking. I guess those who didn’t agree with him were wrong thinking. …
