Lobos track team to compete in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — Triple jumpers Jannell Hadnot and Sam Trigg lead the UNM track and field team as it competes at the Longhorn Invitational today and Saturday.

Hadnot is 14th in the nation with her jump of 42-10¼. Trigg ranks 22nd among the men at 51-9¼.

Lobos Carlos Salcido and Mark Haywood will run the 200- and 400-meter dashes. Mustafa Mudada and Cheyne Dorsey are in the 400 hurdles.

METRO TRACK: The Metro Track and Field Meet scheduled to start on Thursday at Nusenda Community Stadium was postponed due to high winds. The meet is set to begin today with field events at 3:30 p.m. and running events at 4 p.m.
