I HAVE AN idea to (fund) the UNM ski team … if each ski area charged one dollar more for their lift ticket it would pay for the ski team. No one would skip skiing over a dollar. Then the ski team would be supported by the ski industry and the people who ski. — Rudy the Attorney

SEEMS FOLKS are treating the new UNM naming guy like some kind of hero cause he’s such a great Lobo fan and by giving millions for his name to be on everything UNM athletic. THERE ONCE was a discussion between the names Boulder Dam and Hoover Dam. One suggestion was for the president to take on the name Herbert Boulder. Therefore: Pit Remodeling. — Dan

WHILE ATHLON SPORTS ranks Bob Davie as a middle of the pack MWC football coach, I am glad we have him. What he has done to turn this program around after the Locksley era is nothing short of miraculous. I will always have a warm spot in my heart for Rocky Long. He is doing great things at San Diego State, but while at UNM, his brand of football (was boring). Davie’s triple option is anything but. I love how he represents UNM on and off the field and cannot wait for the upcoming season. — Bob, UNM Area
