Antoinette Suina’s statement about her son, Anthony

-

I would like to express my gratitude. Thank you for your prayers, love and support. In addition, on behalf of my children and myself, I would like to honor the excellent care given to us by the paramedics, EMTs, all medical personnel, bystanders and especially UNM Hospital. Their loving compassionate care continues to help and sustain us.

We are thankful to the New Mexico Donor Services, as they have been a blessing to my family through this process. They expressed their appreciation for who Anthony was as a person. Through their incredible work my son’s spirit will radiate in the lives of others.

I would like to take this time to share with you who Anthony was. My son brought so much love and joy to everyone who knew him. My sweet boy would not have wanted anger to settle in our hearts, but rather for everyone to be loving and kind. He touched everyone he met and he is still moving people and inspiring life.

Anthony was a giver without hesitation. Anthony was a very sensitive and compassionate soul. On our way home one evening my son saw a homeless man on the side of the street and starting crying because the man did not have a home. With tears in his eyes he said, “If I had one wish it would be for everyone to have a home or at least a car.” Anthony would pray that people had food and that no one would starve.

By your love, compassion and generosity I feel my son’s love and spirit radiating through.
