June A. Brunner, born October 6, 1933, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, in Albuquerqu­e, NM on

May 10, 2017. She was born in Washington D.C. to Elmer E. Brown and Josephine Berman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Francis Brunner, Sr. on March 9, 2009. She is survived by her sister, Ann Vorce of Glen Burnie, MD; her children, Donna Riordan Kerr and husband, Michael of Peralta, NM, Jennie Mirabal and husband, Timothy of Rio Rancho, NM, William F. Brunner, Jr. and wife, Kimberly of Corrales, NM, June Johnson and husband, Kevin of Medina, WA, and Robert Brunner of Rio Rancho, NM; her grandchild­ren, Shannon Mirabal and Tom Lindgrin, Alisha Blair and husband, Lukas, Amanda Lindell and husband, Michael, Samantha Riordan and fiance, Jason Hunt, Christophe­r Johnson and wife, Sara, Michael Johnson and wife, Kelly, and Catherine Brunner; great-grandchild­ren, Breana and Issac Delgado, Dylan, Ryan, Cailyn, and Justin Blair, and Camden Johnson; and her beloved miniature Schnauzer, "Baby."

June met and married her husband in Washington D.C. and moved to Albuquerqu­e in 1961. She worked her entire life; she worked in government, Koogle & Pouls Engineerin­g, and later at Sandia Laboratori­es from where she retired. She was active in ABWA and loved playing bridge. She loved her family and always tried to lavish them with gifts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery and placed with her husband, William F. Brunner. A celebratio­n of her life service is pending.
