Judge Donald W. Price age 88, beloved Father, Husband, Brother, Grand Father, Great-Grandfathe­r, Uncle, Friend, Mentor &

Role Model to so many, was called home to his eternal resting place on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Judge Price passed away at his home in Albuquerqu­e, NM, surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebratio­n of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017, starting at 10:00 AM at Victory Life Fellowship, 602 N 10th St, Artesia, NM 88210. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery, 201 E Hermosa Dr, Artesia, NM, 11:45 AM. Reception to follow at 1:00 PM, at Pecos Inn, 2209 W. Main St. Artesia, NM. On July 14, 1928, Donald Price entered this world in Brownfield, TX, to Thomas Gaylon and Ethel Luker Price, where he attended high school and received a football scholarshi­p to Texas A&M. Don and Nelda moved to Artesia, NM, in 1957, with their two sons, Tommy and David. Their family was very involved in the church and community. Donald was the Eddy County Magistrate Judge for 20 years and also served as Artesia Justice of the Peace for 12 years.

Judge Price became an ordained Assembly of God Minister and helped many men and women impacting their lives with positive change, always reaching others for Christ. Don and Nelda also hosted a live Christian Television Show for over 3 years, every Thursday night with help from the "The Wild Bunch" singles group from Trinity Temple Church. He lived a fascinatin­g life and experience­d the power of GOD through his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Donald would share the love and kindness of Jesus with everyone. Don also wrote his own inspiring memoir "They Still Call Me Judge" (available still on Amazon) describing how GOD worked miracles in Donald & Nelda’s life after his son Tommy’s death.

Those left to cherish Donald’s memory are his beautiful and loving wife of 66 years, Nelda Price; son, David Price; two amazing grandsons: James and Jonathan Price of Albuquerqu­e; along with three great-grandsons. Donald is preceded in death by his son, Tommy.
