SPORTS SPEAK UP!
DISCIPLINARY ACTION? Did you say disciplinary action? I hope the rest of that sentence is “up to and including termination.” In what universe does Paul Krebs keep his job? He broke the law, lied about it and tried to cover it up. That’ll get you impeached and should surely get you fired. Not on your “timetable” any more Paul, say goodbye. — Mark in Albq
UNM GOLF JUNKET: It has been my experience, that good administrators are consistent in their words and actions and watch the consequences of their actions. Why don’t we have any “good administrators” in the UNM Athletic Department? — North Valley Wally
AS LONGTIME DONORS to UNM/Lobo Club, the news of golf junkets is very disturbing. It may be time for these two individuals to resign. Donations to the Lobo Club are critical to the UNM Athletic Department and funds have been mismanaged and misused. Why should we continue to donate? We need a clean slate. — MAL
IN RETROSPECT, it was probably a mistake to hire Michael Locksley (2009); in retrospect, it was probably a mistake to remodel the Pit (2009) and not comply with NCAA tournament standards; in retrospect, it was probably a mistake to award Craig Neal an extension of his contract after only 1 successful season (2013-14); it retrospect, it was probably a mistake to go to Scotland (2015); in retrospect is was probably a mistake to hire Paul Krebs (2006) who made all those decisions. — Frank, S. Valley
PAUL (FRAUD) KREB$$$. Mr. Attorney General, what are you going to do about this? — Manny G. from the Hub City
I HAVE BEEN an ardent supporter of UNM and UNM athletics for many years. However, after hearing the most recent news regarding the Scotland boondoggle, I cannot in good faith continue to contribute my hard earned $$$ to the University Foundation or to UNM Athletics. I would have liked to renew my basketball season tickets in Section S, Row 31, but enough is enough! And the acting President has the gall to say that Krebs is an honorable man. Doesn’t he realize that UNM donors are fed up? — UNM Alum 1982
