1941-2017 Patricia D. Hudson, 75, passed away at her home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, on May 11, 2017. Pat was born on June 5, 1941, in Fyilde, England.

In her youth, Pat enjoyed travelling to France and Switzerlan­d with her family. Pat graduated from Queen Mary School in Lancashire, England in 1959 and attended Secretaria­l College the following year. After college, Pat was very active in British politics serving as a Conservati­ve councilor for many years. During her years in England, Pat especially enjoyed her time working as the Secretary to the English Minister of Defense. Pat was an accomplish­ed bridge player, a fantastic chef, an avid table tennis player and a competitiv­e lawn tennis player.

Pat married her husband Jack Hudson in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 25, 1993. Pat and Jack met in England and after their marriage retired to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, where Pat continued to work as an administra­tive assistant and Jack became an author. Many of Jack’s books concern the fictional adventures of Pat and Jack solving mysteries throughout New Mexico. Pat loved and enjoyed her two dogs Ho and Dart. During her time in New Mexico, Pat worked for 18 years at the law firm of Lastrapes, Spangler & Pacheco, P.A. She was an invaluable member of the firm. Many clients praised her class and competence in her job. During her time at the law firm, she was beloved by all her fellow employees, her many clients and her numerous friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her son Charlie Blacklock. She leaves behind her loving husband Jack, her son Rupert Blacklock and her daughter-in-law Carol Blacklock.

A memorial service for Pat will be held on June 9, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the AMREP Building, 333 Rio Rancho Drive, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124, with a reception to follow. All who knew and loved Pat are welcome.
