Johnny "JJ" Jimenez passed this life on 6/2/2017, after a courageous battle on many fronts.

He lived life fully when he had this health. But, he struggled against overwhelmi­ng health difficulti­es to be a fully-alive person. His struggle many.

JJ was born to Juan and Maria Jimenez in their home in Santa Fe. He moved to Albuquerqu­e at the age of 15, where he met and went to work for David Cooper. This began his retailing career. JJ managed many Zales Jewelry stores in numerous states. He rose to become the Vice President of the Western Division supervisin­g over 50 stores in 5 states. As a diamond, this is where he sparkled and shined. JJ spent 60 years in the jewelry industry. The last 25 years, as the owner of Noble House Fine Jewelry with his wife, Mary.

JJ was a proud member of the Albuquerqu­e Del Norte Rotary, Masonic Lodge and the Ballut Abyad Shrine. He always wanted to give more to his community than his health allowed.

JJ received a gift of life encouraged on June 21, 2002 when he was the recipient of a lung transplant. He and Mary, along with their children were fortunate to meet his donor family to whom they are forever grateful.

JJ is survived by his wife, Mary, children Arvilla (Robert) Arteaga, Andrew Jimenez and Chrystene (Kevin) Favaloro. Also, his treasured grandchild­ren, Caitlyn, Cassidy, Mikayla and Rogan. JJ is also survived by his sisters, Irene (Silviano) Rael, Angela (John) Costello and brother Gilbert (Nole) Jimenez. His sister, Dolores (Rudy) Vigil prededease­d him.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at 11am Thurs., June 8, 2017 at Sandia Presbyteri­an Church, 10704 Paseo Del Norte NE, Alb.
