Innovative Green Jeans Farmery up for sale
Container development listed on line at $5.2M
Green Jeans Farmery, the innovative shipping container development near Carlisle NE and Interstate 40, is being sold.
Green Jeans is being listed on www.loopnet.com at $5.2 million for the 6,100-square-foot, 1.49-acre development.
Green Jeans developer Roy Solomon said despite “a lot of interest,” a buyer has not yet emerged. He is “hoping for an in-state person because that is the vision.”
Solomon said that above all, he is a “creator” who wants to follow his passion, which is what Green Jeans is built on. “My passion is to create and try to be an advocate for small businesses, and I was able to do that,” said Solomon. “I’m always going to be very proud of what we did at Green Jeans.”
All 12 tenants of Green Jeans are local businesses, and the development is currently at full capacity.
Solomon said he is positive the sale will not effect the tenants, something he was concerned about when making the decision to sell. “(The tenants) all have solid leases that give them protection. That is what’s important. They are the heartbeat of the entire thing.”
Tenants include Amore Pizzeria, Sacred Garden, Brotique 505, Broken Trail Spirits and Brews, Chumly’s, Rustic on the Green, Zeus’ Juices, Chill’N, Epiphany, Rockin’ Tacos, Bocadillos and the development’s largest tenant, Santa Fe Brewing Co.
The popular development opened in February 2016 after inspection delays pushed back its original opening date.
For Solomon, Green Jeans was a passion project. It was his goal to help small businesses band together to compete against larger franchises. Now that Green Jeans is operational and the tenants are “working together as one community,” Solomon said it is time for him to move on to his next project.
Though he has not yet decided on anything, he said there is a possibility he may look into tiny home developments for low-income neighborhoods.

The sale for the Green Jeans Farmery is being handled by the Irvine, Calif., branch of Collier’s International.
