Crowder, Ralph
Ralph Crowder,78, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2017 with his wife, Nancy, at his side. He fought a valiant fight with a positive attitude. Ralph was born on March 31, 1939 in Joliet, Illinois to Frances & Ralph Crowder. Orphaned at the age of 2, he was raised by his Aunt Marge Crowder.
Ralph joined the Navy Seabees at age 17, which gave him treasured journeys from around the world. He spent most of his working life in construction. A die-hard Cubs fan since age 6, he was elated when they won the World Series in 2016. Ralph was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He and Nancy enjoyed traveling, music, ballparks, camping, concerts, cooking, movies, holidays, special occasions and especially home. Ralph was a good guy who enjoyed life. He was a man of great humor, personality and loyalty.
Nancy and his daughter, Cristy miss him immeasurably. He is survived by three children, five grandchildren & 1 greatgrandson & many friends.
In honor of Ralph’s wishes, cremation has taken place without a service.
