Millan, Enrique Diaz

-

Our dear "Tio Enrique" went to the heavens on

May 1, 2017 where he was greeted and lovingly welcomed by his beloved wife "Tia Placida", his parents, brothers and nephews. Mr. Enrique Diaz Millan was born in the mountains of Mexico, on June 18, 1924, followed the Camino Real and built his home in Albuq.

During his early youth he proudly wore the uniform of the Mexican Army and when he became a grown man he traveled to the Jua rez/El Paso area where he had, and still have, family from his older brother Juan Diaz, specially his very close nephew Federico.

When he moved to New Mexico in the late 1950’s, he met "Tia Placida", married her, and built their home in Albuquerque. In later years he was very proud of obtaining his U.S. citizenship and ever since, proudly diplayed "Old Glory" in his home.

When times got tough, he always showed and exuded optimism and goodwill. He always thougth that "For grief can bring on death, and heartache can sap one’s strength", and that "No riches are greater than a healthy body; and no happiness than a joyful heart".

He was blessed by becoming friends with a lot of people that throughout the years always looked after him, this was specially important because he and "Tia Placida" did not have children. Our Tio Enrique will always and still have a place in our hearts & all the people that knew him. He left us a void that is imposible to fill in this earth, he will always be in our minds & we are certain that he will be greeting us when the Lord calls us.

Thank’s Tio Enrique for all the memories and your love. His nephews, nieces and families.

Funeral services: Mass on June 22, 2017 at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial at Mount Cavalry Cemetery at 11:00am.
