Local families share Father’s Day with special events at the BioPark
Albuquerque families flocked to the ABQ BioPark on Sunday for the annual Father’s Day Concert and Discovery Day. Sunday’s event offered dads discounted admission and included dunk tanks, giveaways, food and drink.
Zoo-goers were invited to take in country and western music at a concert featuring Max Gomez, Farewell Angelina and Frankie Ballard. Matthew Garcia and 1-year-old daughter Mia, above, danced to Ballard’s tunes.
Families and friends braved the near-100 degree temperatures to enjoy the day, including Robert Triebold, at right, and 16-month-old daughter Sonora, who fed geese and fish.
