Clarisse "Claire" H. Anderson, 90 went to be with our Lord Jesus on June 10th, 2017. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Claire was a wonderful, loving and kind person. She loved our Lord Jesus and God our Father with all of her heart and showed it by the kind and loving Christian life she led.

Claire was born September 9, 1926 in Superior, WI, where she grew up. Claire married the love of her life, James "Jim" Anderson of whom she had a crush on since the 4th grade. As young adults, Claire & Jim met shortly after WW II at a girl’s lake cabin party. One look was all it took. They were married on July 15, 1950 after Jim graduated from college. Jim raced cars as a hobby and Claire worked pit and raced a bit too. They had 2 daughters while living in Duluth, MN before moving to Albuquerque in 1957, where they had two more daughters.

While Claire was busy raising a Christian family she found time for her many gifts. She painted with oils, hand-quilted, needlepoint, counted cross, and Hardanger. She also knitted, and sewed many of her daughter’s clothing styled after outfits they found in magazines. She also sculpted and made Christmas ornaments each year, while still having time for her family. She was a member of various sewing groups, she played tennis, and went hunting with Jim.

After retirement, Claire and Jim traveled throughout our beautiful country and also visited Spain and Africa. Later, they vacationed in AZ in the wintertime and enjoyed many new friendships. She also became an avid golfer.
