Trump on the ball, despite the Dems

-

GROWING UP in the ’50s and ’60s, it seemed more people were good and decent while considerably less were of unfavorable measure. While Blacks rioted in large northern cities, and to a lesser extent in some southern cities, most black and white people got along pretty darn well in spite of glaring journalistic headlines and amplified radio/ television coverage.

Now, things seem to be much worse beyond the invariable media hype. While most Americans remain rational, industrious and patriotic, many among us have become some combination of confused, lazy, hateful, resentful, self-indulgent, emotionally unbalanced, pessimistic, antagonistic, drug-crazed, sociopathic, deviant, politically correct, liberalistic and recalcitrant (et al). Nature versus nurture aspects of humanity and humane evolution/development are seemingly being upended. The later ailing members of society almost invariably vote, when they vote, Democrat.

For generations, Democratic candidates have pandered to the weak and ailing for votes by making lavish promises that cannot for the most part be reasonably delivered — for example, Obamacare. Many currently elected Democrats seem to have little or no understanding of free-market principles and economic concepts. They are unable to see the forest for the trees as their largesse clouds prudent governing. After eight long liberal years, our national debt has doubled. Rather than looking within, elected Democrats are striking out at our moderately conservative president, mostly without merit. Thankfully, in spite of horrific attacks, he is turning things around by fulfilling his campaign promise to “Make America Great Again.”

Please contact your elected officials and express support for our president, and remember only you can prevent Democrat fires, so vote accordingly! AL WATTERS Rio Rancho
