ESPAÑOLA VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETY

-

Waiting for a home at the Española Valley Humane Society are two precious felines. First up is Georgia, who is more than just a pretty face! The 10-week-old kitten likes to be queen of her castle. She loves people, and enjoys sitting for hours to get lots of pets and kitty treats. She would do best in a home with other felines and kids. She came to the shelter as a stray, so she is looking for an adopter with cat experience.

Next up is Bama, a two-monthold kitten who has been a little sad lately. She is ready to love her new family and home. She loves to be stroked and held close to your heart. She has lived successfully with other kittens here at the shelter and in her previous foster home. She has excellent litter box manners, would do best with children or other kittens to play with.

These two and many others may be adopted daily from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Española Valley Humane Society, 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. 505-7538662. To see more adoptable pets, log on to www.evalleyshelter.org or www.petango.com.

On Monday, Aug. 15, the shelter is hosting a Vaccine Clinic for dogs and cats: $12 each if the pet is spayed or neutered and $30 each for pets that are not spayed/neutered. There will be nail trims for $10, and heartworm and feline leukemia tests available for $25. Heartworm preventative is also available for purchase when tested at the shelter.
