SPORTS SPEAK UP!

GREAT OPENING NIGHT win for the Lobos. So glad that coach Davie has allowed Lamar Jordan to open things up by repeatedly throwing the ball downfield. All the hard work Jordan put in this summer perfecting his passing accuracy was readily apparent. The run/ pass balance is obviously crucial in keeping opposing defenses from knowing what we’re going to do when we line up on offense, which prevents the defense from loading the box for the inevitable run play. Way to open up the playbook, coach Davie. Keep it open!

CAN ANYBODY in the Lobo secondary cover NMSU’s Jaleel Scott? Arizona State couldn’t. Doubt it.

I AM A (Lobo football) season ticket holder and am getting rather discouraged with the attendance (21,475 vs. Abilene Christian). Some comments about attending the game: 1. Had to go search hard to find someone selling programs. 2. The music played is outrageously (loud). 3. I was born and raised in Big Ten Country and never went to a game that at halftime scores of other games weren’t announced. Not one score announced at a Lobo game. Why?

JRM: I AM a Rio Rancho Ram and a NM high school football supporter. I was on the fence about buying season tickets to Lobo football this season. Because of your disparaging remarks about the RMAC which is better than MWC and a Rio Rancho NM kid, I will not buy any tickets to support Bob Davie and his Texas Lobos this year thanks for saving me time and money.

IF BABE RUTH were alive today and with this year’s juiced up baseball, he would hit 100 home runs.
