Ernest Jahn beloved husband and father was escorted by his angels to meet his Heavenly Father on September 9, 2017. He lived a long and wonderful life.

Ernest retired from the city of Albuquerqu­e Water Department after 30 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and being at the cabin at El Vado that he and Nancie owned for over 50 years. He stated many times that the cabin was his saving grace when he needed time away. He was a life time member of the Independen­t Order of Oddfellows and his pride and joy was the Youth Camp in Mountainai­r, New Mexico.

Mr. Jahn was preceded in death by his parents, Chloe and William Jahn and two sisters, Evelyn Morrow and Louise Walraven. He is survived by his wife, Nancie, the love of his life, partner and friend of 70 years; daughters, Alice Glasgow and husband, Jim, Beth Wheeler and husband, Butch; three grandchild­ren, Cody Wheeler, Jennifer Buford and husband, Cody, Lori Laughbaum and wife, Jayne; five great grandchild­ren, Trenaty, Jayden, Chantelle, Justin and Eastyn; as well as many nieces and nephews and friends who will all miss him.

Friends may visit Wednesday, September 13, 2017, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 14, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Interment will follow the services at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
