HOLLYWOOD — God bless America, and how’s everybody?

Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill began complaining this week about President Trump’s recent compromises with leading Democrats. The president had dinner at the White House with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday. It was just the three of them and their food tasters.

President Trump named his personal staffer Hope Hicks to be White House communications director on Wednesday. She really has her work cut out for her. A survey Monday shows that 91 percent of network news coverage of Trump is negative and 9 percent is set aside for commercials.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott predicted Wednesday that it will take the Florida Keys and the west coast of Florida a long time to rebuild from Hurricane Irma. Right now, thousands of people in South Florida have no access to social media. They could be the happiest people in America.

Nevada cities will license marijuana lounges now that pot’s legal. Twenty-four-hour bars, gambling and brothels were already legal. It has gotten so you have to snort coke, text and drive, then steal your own sports memorabilia to feel like you’ve gotten away with anything in Nevada.
