Recycle your unused electronics Sept. 23
SANTA ANA — Community residents are invited to drop off retired and unused electronics for recycling next Saturday, Sept. 23, at Santa Ana Star Center, which is hosting an electronics recycling event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Best Bet is teaming up with Albuquerque Recycling Inc. and the Town of Bernalillo to host the event.
“Living in a technology-based world where we replace many of our electronics every couple of years, it’s easy to accumulate a lot of electronics that are outdated, broken or that we just don’t use anymore,” Santa Ana Star Casino Director of Marketing Tammy Neil said. “Santa Ana Star Casino’s electronics recycling event gives people an easy and convenient way to get rid of those items that ensures responsible recycling and protects our environment.”
At the event, Albuquerque Recycling Inc. will be accepting computers, laptops, printers, tablets, cellphones, computer accessories, stereo equipment, gaming systems, satellite equipment and more, according to a news release.
Projection and CRT (cathode ray tube) televisions will not be accepted at this event.
While most electronics will be accepted free of charge, a few items have a small disposal fee, such as printers and CRT computer monitors. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
For a complete list of accepted items and prices, go to www.albuquerquerecycling.net or call 990-3732.
