SPORTS SPEAK UP!

-

SINCE PRO ATHLETES want to make a mockery of the National Anthem, then maybe it should be eliminated, so they can’t use it to protest. I don’t want to see politics in sports, so I’m cutting the satellite cord, and finding better things to do.

— Juan T.

TO THOSE WHO kneel during the national anthem, Eric says, “You’re welcome for all my years of serving in our country’s military . . . defending your right to be an idiot!” Yes, Eric, that is exactly what you and our military were defending.

— Jack Bowers, Albuquerque

ERIC REAL SOLDIERS don’t pat themselves on the back for having served or advertise they served to get someone to say thank you for your service. That being said to hell with the real idiot on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and I support the football players and the Golden State Warriors for standing up Trump.

— Chris Garcia

ERIC, I AM ALSO a US veteran who supports equality for ALL and the right to protest injustice. If anyone opposes free speech, try living in Russia, N. Korea or Iran. The 1st amendment of the US constitution is what makes America great. I would rather take a knee than stand with the current administration.

— Hunchback Jimmy

I THOUGHT THAT the liberals would probably destroy professional football by their attacks on head injuries, but I guess the players have decided to do it themselves.

I SAW PRESIDENT Trump’s comments on NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem. Pretty big words for a draft dodger.

— Mark H.

SOMEONE PLEASE tell that politics star to keep his sports opinions to himself.

—Bob, ‘Burque

MESSAGE TO Harvey Eastman: Just like a Denver dreamer to think Albuquerque cares about the loser Broncos. This isn’t Denver, it’s not even Colorado it’s Albuquerque and our team is the Cowboys.
