NO PANHANDLING in Albuquerque city limits! It’s time for citizens to demand an ordinance against panhandling. We need to stop encouraging panhandlers from Arizona, Colorado, and other locations from coming to Albuquerque to work our streets. CA

SAUDI ARABIA has relented and allowed its female citizens — they still can’t vote — the right to drive vehicles. Accident rates are sure to rise. Wonder if they even have an auto insurance industry over there? They’re probably gonna need one. BTP

SINCE WHEN has kneeling been considered rude and disrespectful? We kneel to pray, kneel to propose marriage, kneel to pay homage, kneel to be knighted. Freedom of speech should mean that everyone has the right to express their beliefs peacefully, regardless of whether you personally agree with them. JN

TO SIMPLIFY, the NFL protesters that are using the national anthem as a vehicle to garner attention to address social injustices are SOBs as stated by the president of the United States, but white supremacists and other hate groups to include Charlottesville are just exercising their constitutionally guaranteed First Amendment rights. I am African-American and I am oh-so-tired of the double standard. Just saying. RS

CONGRESS IS not willing to spend trillions on Medicare for all but is willing to give the wealthy tax cuts which will raise our debt by trillions. CM

I FIND it comical that the only people who think the president is “dividing” the country are the ones that DON’T agree with him. I find what the president is saying is exactly what I have said and believed for years, but he has to be heard. DP

PERHAPS INSTEAD of suspending the employee who defended herself and the store, the convenience stores should require gun training for all employees and require them to carry. Posting this info on the door would surely cut down on the robberies. It is going to take drastic measures to curtail the crime problem in Albuquerque. DJB

PLEASE DON’T be too upset with the protesting athletes. Many of them have the initial stages of brain disease. Now they have lots of money, but it won’t be long when they will have trouble with door knobs. That’s entertainment. TK

Livingwage jobs are appointed to friends or family of authorities in power. Citizens are expected to be happy with non-living wage fly-by-night service work. Who is in charge of this rogue state, anyway? SH TRUMP IS not responsible for Harvey or Irma, but repealing as many environmental laws as he can will make him responsible for future environmental disasters. WHAT HAPPEN(ED) to my country, USA? Deporting and breaking up hard-working families. We are all immigrants except the Indians. Only Indians should have the right to deport anyone. Trying to deny affordable health care to most of us, seems our country is self destructing. LB

WHEN I look at N.M. arrests each day, I noticed the going bail for almost any crime is $200 cash only. Then you wonder why you have a catch-and-release crime problem here. CLH
