Georgia Tillery, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017. Georgia was a long-time member of Sandia Baptist Church and served as President of the Albuquerqu­e Board of Realtors, having won Realtor of the Year for her outstandin­g service to her clients and the community. She was known in the Northeast Heights as the Pumpkin Lady, having delivered hundreds of pumpkins yearly to local residents. Originally from West Texas, Georgia attended West Texas State College and graduated from Texas Tech. She was recruited by the FAA and moved to New Mexico in the 1940s. She was a pilot and member of the Ninety-Nines, an organizati­on of women pilots, and organized several Powderpuff Derbies for women pilots in the 1960s.

Georgia was preceded in death by former husband, Garland Tillery. Together they co-founded Tillery Chevrolet in 1955. She was also preceded in death by husbands, William O. Vredenburg­h and William Gleason; son, Gary Tillery; and brothers, Harry and C.W. Reeves. She is survived by children, Gayle Tillery Pedrick and husband, Daniel, George Tillery and wife, Carol, Glen Tillery and wife, Lori, Gena Tillery Hoagland and husband, Daniel; daughter-in-law, Julie Tillery; and numerous grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

A Celebratio­n of Georgia’s Life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH Wyoming. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Please visit our online guestbook for Georgia at www.FrenchFune­rals.com
