Glenn Delmar Dienst Jr, 64, of Albuquerqu­e, passed away on October 1, 2017 after his struggle with cancer.

Glenn was born to Glenn and Eunice (Schmoll) Dienst Sr in Gallup, NM.

Glenn graduated from Gallup High School in 1971 and then attended UNM Gallup 1972-1976. He moved to Albuquerqu­e in 1978.

He was employed at numerous Sewing & Vacuum shops around Albuquerqu­e while attending TVI for Automotive Technology. He worked for Pride/Zangara Dodge and recently Brad Francis Chrysler/ Jeep/Dodge. Glenn was an avid car enthusiast with a bias towards Mopar, as well as a walking encycloped­ia of vacuum cleaners, sewing machines, appliances,

Hollywood, history of Albuquerqu­e, and the list goes on.

He is survived by his Aunt Ann Depoy of Pittsburg, KS; cousins, Roy and Charlene also of KS, Glenn and Melody Depoy of Bartlesvil­le, OK, Jim and Kathi Cook of Prairie Village, KS, and Paul Wineman of Marina Del Ray, CA. He is also survived by his former partner James Torres; close friends, Art Cordona, Jack Lockard, Robert Styles, and Cole Pierce, all of whom cared for Glenn during his illness.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. His ashes will be entombed with his mother and father after the service.
