Bob was an avid sailor, starting as a young boy in Clear Lake, IA, where he learned sailing and built his own iceboat. He sailed as often as possible with friends off Baja California, the coast of Maine, the Virgin Islands, and near San Diego, CA.

Jo Ann preceded Bob in death in 2009. He is survived by two daughters, Roberta Krueger, MD and husband, Ed Parsons of San Antonio, TX; and Sandra Krueger Eckert and husband, Martin W.
