HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY

-

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Oct. 8): You will attain the extraordinary this solar return, though the methods you’ll apply will be ordinary, daily and consistent. You’ll put events on your calendar and take the necessary daily steps to move toward them. Family victories are your own. There’s a spike in your earnings in November, December and January. Leo and Aries adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 40, 1, 16 and 33.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Transitions have inherent difficulties. Arrivals and departures are significant. Guests should be treated just as importantly on their way out as on their way in. These observances will avail you well.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Taking action is the way to move forward. Taking action consistently is the way to rise up. Move things around so your schedule and environment support consistent action.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21): The tough customer is hiding a tender heart that wants to be entertained, moved, helped and cared for. You know because you’ve been the tough customer before. It takes one to know one.

CANCER (June 22-July 22): You know what makes you well taken care of, but you don’t always have the energy to do it for yourself. This is not a time to shirk the self-care. Do what fulfills you. From a place of plenty, you’ll give more.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22):

It’s hard to be disciplined unless you really do need and want the thing. In that case, you just tell yourself what to do and then you do it — easy peasy! It helps if you’re also accountable to another.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): You want to show up strong for your loved ones. You also care about how you’re being perceived, not because it changes your self-perception but because it impacts opportunities that will be made available to you.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23):

As for that frustratingly misplaced item — there will be something good to come out of it. Losing things is an opportunity to get organized, downsize for simplicity’s sake and determine what is truly important to you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21): Invest in your own education. There will be an immediate high that comes with learning something new. But even better, the more you know the more control you’ll have over your life.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): You’ve seen everything in your neighborhood a million times. The only way to see it fresh is to do so through the eyes of an insightful new person, who will experience it differently.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Things don’t have to be epic or last a long time to feel basically right. There’s a sense that you were born to do something, and you’ll dive in and make quick work of it.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): It does seem that quite a lot of your life is spent pleasing someone, and you’d rather not have to. However, this is the way of every person. People pleasing people spins the globe.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): When you’re not sure whether to stay or go, the answer is usually to go. Staying means seeing what you’ve already seen. Going is risky, but there are no interesting people who haven’t experienced risk.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: This is not to be missed! Today’s conjunction of the sun and communication planet Mercury in the very diplomatic and eloquent station of Libra is an invitation to speak up. The things that you thought would be difficult to say will be far less so. Easy things can be taken to the level of poetry, song, legal genius, epic speech, quotable quips or maybe just the right telling of the very magic and personal words someone most needs to hear.

Tuesday, Oct. 10, will bring a sign change for the big daddy of the zodiac. Jupiter has been in Libra, the sign of relationships, for over a year. It wasn’t an automatic love bonanza exactly, but there was an added boost of attention on the realm of relationships, and there was a nice bonus package for those who sincerely tried to do the work it takes to be a better partner, friend, communicator, business associate, parent, child, leader, fan, citizen and more. Jupiter has definitely done some good in Libra.

Alas, it’s time to dig a little deeper into Scorpio’s territory. There’s an added intensity factor with Jupiter’s journey in the months to come, as Scorpio rules life, death, transformation and taxes. It’s a time to face fears, become brave and expand spiritually. These are soulful days ahead.
