ART SHOW: The Corrales Arts Center is pleased to open a new show that will run through the end of the year. It features Sandra Lapham, encaustic photograph­y; Peggy Schey, watercolor, and Karen Urbielewic­z, watercolor. There will be an artist reception on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 1-5 p.m. At 2 p.m., Lapham will speak about the materials and processes she uses to create an encaustic photograph. At 2:45 p.m., Schey will talk about loosening up with watercolor batick work using watercolor paint, rice paper and canning wax. Refreshmen­ts will be served. BEWITCHED AND BEDAZZLED:

The Placitas Community Library will feature a wearable art exhibit in the Collin Meeting Room through Nov. 2. Viewers will be dazzled by wearable adornments created by Patty Baron, Bunny Bowen, Sandra Johnson, Judith Roderick, Riha Rothberg and Geri Verble.
