Iowa State already had upset then-No. 3 OU. Now No. 4 TCU goes down.

AMES, Iowa — Kyle Kempt threw for 202 yards and two TDs as 25th-ranked Iowa State upset fourth-ranked TCU 14-7 on Saturday, handing the Frogs their first defeat and leaving the Big 12 without an unbeaten team.

Marcel Spears intercepte­d a Kenny Hill pass with 1:16 left to seal it for the Cyclones (6-2, 4-1 Big 12), who forced a pair of turnovers in the red zone in the second half in winning their fourth straight game. TCU is 7-1, 4-1.

Earlier this season, the Cyclones defeated then-No. 3 Oklahoma in Norman, 38-31.

NORTHWESTE­RN 39, No. 16 MICH. STATE 31 (3 OT): In Evanston, Ill., Clayton Thorson threw a 22-yard TD pass to Flynn Nagel in the third overtime and Nate Hall intercepte­d Brian Lewerke as Northweste­rn (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) beat MSU (6-2, 4-1).

HOUSTON 28, No. 17 SOUTH FLA. 24: In Tampa, Fla., D’Eriq King kept Houston’s hopes alive with a 30-yard completion on fourth-and-24, then finished a game-winning drive with a 20-yard TD run with 11 seconds remaining to lift the Cougars over South Florida (7-1, 4-1 AAC).

King led Houston (5-3, 3-2) on three long scoring drives to position itself for an upset.

No. 3 GEORGIA 42, FLORIDA 7: In Jacksonvil­le, Fla., Sony Michel put Georgia (8-0, 5-0 SEC) up big early and put Florida away late, scoring on two long runs in a rout that might be the final game for Gators coach Jim McElwain. Florida fell to 3-4, 3-3.

No. 5 WISCONSIN 24, ILLINOIS 10: In Champaign, Ill., Alec Ingold and Garrett Groshek scored on short runs in the first half, and offensive lineman Michael Deiter added another touchdown on a trick play late in the game as Wisconsin (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) beat Illinois (2-6, 0-5).

No. 7 CLEMSON 24, GA. TECH 10: In Clemson, S.C., Kelly Bryant threw for 207 yards and two TDs as Clemson (7-1, 5-1 ACC) bounced back from its first loss of the year. Tech is 4-3, 3-2)

No. 9 NOTRE DAME 35, No. 14 N.C. STATE 14: In South Bend, Ind., Julian Love returned his second intercepti­on of the season for a TD, and RB Josh Adams rushed for 202 yards to help Notre Dame (7-1) beat NCSU (6-2).

No. 10 OKLAHOMA 49, TEXAS TECH 27: In Norman, Okla., the Sooners (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) outscored Tech (4-4, 1-4) by 35-7 in the second half.

No. 11 OKLAHOMA STATE 50, NO. 22 WEST VIRGINIA 39: Morgantown, W.Va., Mason Rudolph threw three TD passes and ran for a score to lead OSU (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) past WVU (5-3, 3-2).

ARIZONA 58, No. 15 WASHINGTON STATE 37: In Tucson, quarterbac­k Khalil Tate threw two touchdown passes and rushed for 146 yards as the Wildcats (6-2, 4-1 Pac-12) overwhelme­d the Cougars (7-2, 4-2).

UNLV 26, FRESNO STATE 16:

In Fresno, Calif., UNLV’s Lexington Thomas scored the goahead TD in the fourth period on a 2-yard run and Daniel Gutierrez kicked four field goals as the Rebels (3-5, 3-4 MWC) stunned the 22½-point favorite Bulldogs (5-3, 4-1).

AIR FORCE 45, COLO. STATE 28: In Fort Collins, Colo., Arion Worthman threw a 56-yard TD pass early in the fourth quarter and AFA’s rushed for 413 yards to foil CSU (4-4, 3-2).

BYU 41, SAN JOSE STATE 20:

In Provo, Utah, Tanner Mangum threw for three TDs as BYU (2-7) rolled past SJSU (1-8).

COLO. MESA 77, NM HIGHLANDS 14: In Grand Junction, Colo., the Mavericks (8-1, 8-1 RMAC) raced to a 63-0 halftime lead en route to bashing the Cowboys (2-7, 1-7).

ANGELO STATE 44, WESTERN NM 7: In San Angelo, Texas, the host Rams (4,4, 2-4 Lone Star) spotted WNMU (4-4, 2-4) an early TD before romping..

EASTERN NM 51, TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE 34: In Portales, Kamal Cass rushed for 187 yards and four TDs to lead the No. 21 Greyhounds (7-1, 6-1 Lone Star).
