OF ALL the bills I pay for my home and business, the Bernalillo County Albuquerque Water Utility Authority is the most complex of them all. It should not be difficult to pay a recurring bill. Please treat the customers like it is a business that wants customers. No available support is unsatisfactory. Telling people to just mail it is not considered customer support. MP
I AGREE with the sentiments expressed in Monday’s Road Warrior column concerning the re-striping of Rio Grande Boulevard. I live between Rio Grande and the Rio Grande, and this poorly planned project is beyond annoying. The city should reverse this unnecessary decision and re-stripe Rio Grande back to the way it was before. EJG
A WRITER for the LA Times recently referred to Sarah Huckabee Sanders as a slightly chunky soccer mom, then apologized. He should’ve apologized to the slightly chunky soccer moms for comparing them to Sanders. Just sayin’. THB
RE: SEN. Cliff Pirtle’s (R-Roswell) bill to have New Mexico on Daylight Saving Time permanently. Arizona and Hawaii remain on standard time as a way to not change the clocks twice a year so students aren’t standing at bus stops in the dark and “morning people” aren’t waiting around for daylight. EM

ALL THE daylight arguments leave me reminded of the drama in the ’50s in Minnesota about implementing daylight time and the effect it would have on milk cows! Clocks are a recent human invention, entering widespread use with the era of railroad trains and factory timeclocks. Let’s set ’em and forget ’em! R.B.C.
