AUBURN, Ala. — Kerryon Johnson ran for 167 yards and caught a 55-yard touchdown pass from Jarrett Stidham and No. 10 Auburn smothered No. 2 Georgia’s running game in a 40-17 victory Saturday.
The Tigers (8-2, 6-1 Southeastern Conference) remained in Western Division and potentially playoff contention after snapping a three-year losing streak to one of their top rivals. The Bulldogs (9-1, 6-1) came in with the top spot in the playoff rankings and could get a rematch if Auburn can beat No. 1 Alabama in two weeks.
The first go around wasn’t pretty for Georgia. Auburn held Nick Chubb, Sony Michel and the SEC’s top ground game to 46 yards.
No. 7 MIAMI 41, No. 3 NOTRE DAME 8: In Miami Gardens, Fla., Malik Rosier threw for a touchdown and ran for another, and Deejay Dallas ran for a pair of scores as Miami overwhelmed Notre Dame.
Travis Homer rushed for 146 yards for the Hurricanes (9-0, No. 7 College Football Playoff), who forced four turnovers for the fourth consecutive week, led 27-0 at the half and handed the Irish (8-2, No. 3 CFP) their second-worst loss in the history of the series.
No. 5 OKLAHOMA 38, No. 8 TCU 20: In Norman, Okla., Baker Mayfield threw three touchdown passes, and Rodney Anderson had 290 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns as OU beat TCU to take sole possession of first place in the Big 12.
Anderson ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes for 139 yards and two scores for the Sooners (9-1, 6-1 Big 12, No. 5 CFP). TCU is 8-2, 5-2, No. 6 CFP).
No. 1 ALABAMA 31, No. 18 MISS. STATE 24: In Starkville, Miss., Jalen Hurts hit DeVonta Smith for a 26-yard touchdown pass with 25 seconds remaining to lift Alabama (10-0, 7-0 SEC, CFP No. 2) over Mississippi State (7-3, 3-3, CFP No. 16).
The Bulldogs took a 24-17 lead early in the fourth quarter on Jace Christmann’s 25-yard field goal, but Alabama responded to tie it at 24 when Damien Harris ran for a 14-yard score with 9:49 left.
In the final minutes, after Mississippi State went three-andout, Alabama took over with 1:09 remaining and drove 68 yards in six plays in 44 seconds for the game-winning score.
No. 4 CLEMSON 31, FLA. STATE 14: In Clemson, S.C., Travis Etienne rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns, including a 1-yard burst with 3:05 left as Clemson (9-1, 7-1, No. 4 CFP) won the ACC Atlantic Division with a win over Florida State (3-6, 3-5).
Clemson will face No. 7 Miami in the title game. FSU is 3-6, 3-5,

25 IOWA 14: In Madison, Wis., receiver Kendric Pryor scored twice and Wisconsin relied on stifling defense to overcome four turnovers and Iowa cornerback Josh Jackson’s two touchdowns in a win over the Hawkeyes.
The win allowed the Badgers (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten, CFP No. 8) to clinch a trip to the league conference title game as West champions. The Hawkeyes (6-4, 3-4, CFP No. 20) were held to 66 total yards and five first downs.
STANFORD 30, No. 9 WASHINGTON 22: On Friday in Stanford, Calif., Bryce Love ran for 166 yards and three TDs to lead Stanford (7-3, 6-2 Pac-12) past Washington (8-2, 6-2, No. 9 CFP).
No. 11 OHIO STATE 48, No. 13 MICH. STATE 3: In Columbus, Ohio, J.T. Barrett threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores, and Mike Weber ran for 162 yards and two scores as Ohio State routed MSU.
The Buckeyes (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten, CFP No. 13) scored on five of their first six possessions on the way to claiming sole possession of first place in the Big Ten East. MSU is 7-3, 5-2.
No. 12 OKLA. STATE 49, No. 24 IOWA STATE 42: In Ames, Iowa, Mason Rudolph threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns — including two in the final 5:55 — as Oklahoma State (8-2, 5-2 Big 12, No. 15 CFP) rallied to beat Iowa State (6-4, 4-3)..
No. 14 CENTRAL FLA. 49, UCONN 24: In Orlando, Fla., Otis Anderson rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and McKenzie Milton passed for 311 yards as Central Florida (9-0, 6-0 AAC, CFP No. 18) beat UConn (3-7, 2-5).
No. 21 MICHIGAN 35, MARYLAND 10: In College Park, Md., Eldorado High grad Zach Gentry caught three passes for 63 yards and scored a TD as Michigan (8-2, 5-2 Big Ten) beat Maryland (4-6, 2-5).
NEVADA 59, SAN JOSE STATE 14: In Reno, Nev., Dameon Baber claimed a spot in the NCAA record book with three TDs off returns as Nevada pounded San Jose State (1-10, 1-6 MWC).
Baber returned a blocked punt 6 yards for a TD in the first quarter as Nevada (2-8, 2-4) took a 14-7 lead, later intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it 100 yards for a TD. He added another pick-six, from 39 yards.

MIDWESTERN STATE 56, EASTERN NM 43: In Portales, the visiting Mustangs clinched the Lone Star Conference title with a victory over the Greyhounds.
Midwestern State (9-0, 8-0), ranked No. 4 in Division II, was led by QB Layton Rabb, who threw four TD passes. Eastern (8-2, 6-2), ranked 20th, was led by RB Kamal Cass, who rushed for 276 yards on 38 carries, good for three TDs.
WESTERN NM 21, WEST TEXAS A&M 17: In Canyon, Texas, the Mustangs’ D’Angelo Bowie caught TD passes of 16 and 11 yards from QB Javia Hall to lead WNMU (4-7, 3-5 Lone Star) to a victory over the Buffs (3-8, 1-7).
ADAMS STATE 48, NM HIGHLANDS 41: In Alamosa, Colo., NMHU QB Danny Cameron threw for 397 yards and three TDs and also had 142 rushing yards and a TD as NMHU (2-9, 1-7 RMAC) beat ASU (4-7, 4-6).
