Jerome "Jerry" Dorr, Sr., passed into the Lords hands on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born in Buffalo, New York to Leona Lynch Dorr and Clarence Dorr, Sr., on May 22, 1938. He attended Saint Williams elementary school. He graduated from West Seneca High School in 1957, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He attended the University of Buffalo where he majored in Business Administra­tion. Jerry enlisted om the U.S. Army om 1958, where he served his country in Frankfurt, Germany. He was honorable discharged in 1964. Jerry was a proud veteran.

Jerry married Gale Brooks in 1961. They were high school sweetheart­s and were married for 56 years. They moved to Tennessee in 1972. They lived in El Paso, San Antonio and Houston. Jerry worked for Keller Williams Realty in Kingwood, Texas. He retired in 2005 where they moved to Albuquerqu­e, New Mexico. They joined the Tierra Del Sol country club where they played golf several times a week. The bought an RV and traveled with the Nomads.

Jerry was a Mason and a Shriner for over 25 years. He was a Wagon Mater for the Nomads for 2 years. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home with a recent trip to Florida and Buffalo, New York to see family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerome Dorr, Jr.; grandson, Kyle Jansen; mother, Leona; father, Clarence; and brothers, Donald and Clarence "Buddy", Jr.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gale; daughter, Dawn Dorr; son, Gregory Dorr and his wife, Sally Sacco; granddaugh­ters, Julie Pulley and her husband Marc, Sandra Dorr and Samantha Dorr; grandsons, Keith Jansen; great granddaugh­ter, Kylie Pulley; great grandson, Wyatt Pulley; sister, Debbie Dorr Grunder and her husband, Bob; brother, Wayne Dorr and his wife, Judy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
