William B. Schuessler

William B. Schuessler, Bill, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Josefine, who also died of esophageal cancer almost five years ago.

He is survived by his daughters, Martina Sisneros and Stephanie Kindred; son-in-law Roy Sisneros; grandchild­ren Cliff Kindred, Alex Sisneros, and Angie Sisneros; brother Eric Schuessler; sister Bonnie Smith; brother-inlaw Ron Smith; and his beloved dachshund Susie.

Bill served in the US Army, was a Vietnam Veteran and was a Recruiter for the majority of his career. After retiring from the Army, he moved the family back to Albuquerqu­e and worked at the ABQ Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) for 20 years. He was a member of the Edelweiss German American Club, and enjoyed taking German class at the Bear Canyon Senior Center. He attended as many reunions with his Army friends as he could, was an avid sports fan and held season tickets to the Lobos Men’s Basketball for many years. He loved Jazz music and enjoyed attending jazz fests and concerts. He had a ready smile, infectious giggle and was a positive, optimistic, upbeat spirit.

Bill’s Life Celebratio­n will begin with a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 12:00 p. m. noon at Reflection­s Funerals and Life Celebratio­ns (2400 Washington St. NE).
