William (Bill) Patrick Werntz

William (Bill) Patrick Werntz passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the age of 59 surrounded by his family. Born September 14, 1958, Bill was a native of Albuquerque. He graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1976 and attended the University of New Mexico where he earned a Master’s Degree in Communications and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph L. Werntz, Jr. and Billie S. Werntz. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; daughter, Andrea GallegosValdez; grandsons, Alexander and Gabriel Valdez; brother, Joseph L. Werntz, III and his wife, Kim Werntz; nieces, Kristen Werntz, Jessica Werntz and Kari Richey; and his aunt, Patricia Springer.

Bill was an extremely creative and talented video producer and director. Whether it was producing, directing, scripting, editing, narrating, interviewing, or working a camera, Bill could do it all, and do it well. We will miss Bill’s humor, wit and lively personality, but we rejoice that he is now in heaven with his Lord and Savior.

The family wishes to thank AMG Specialty Hospital for their loving care and attention to Bill in the last weeks of his life.

A reception will follow the service at 12:30 p.m. at the Marriott Courtyard, 5151 Journal Center Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
