Titia K. Lopez

Titia K. Lopez departed this world peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at home in Albuquerque, NM; she was 93. Tita was born and raised in Las Vegas, NM, and was a longtime resident of Albuquerque.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lopez, Sr.; and son, Ralph Lopez, Jr.; parents, Nick and Henrietta Kavanaugh; brothers, Nick, Jr., Louis, Henry, Joe, Ernest and Hector; and sisters, Dora Ortiz, Josie Garcia, Margie Sena, and her twin sister, Anna Maria Kavanaugh.

She is survived by her children, Linda Gieri and husband, Val; Anna Lopez and John Lopez and wife, Paulina; granddaughter, Sophia Bacon; brother, Arthur Kavanaugh, Sr.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Her passion was her family and her faith. A faithful Catholic, Tita was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM, then Our Lady of Fatima church in Albuquerque. A homemaker, she devoted her spare time to church ministries in the Legion of Mary, where she taught CCD classes and was a Eucharisticminister. The joy that came from loving Tita allows us to feel her near.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima School in Tita’s name.

All Services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary, followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Interment will be held at a later date in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
