Beatrice (Bea) Sandoval

-

Beatrice (Bea) Sandoval, 92, was lifted into eternal peace by her guardian angels on December 11 with most of her family present. Born in Mosquero, NM to Julian and Dulcinea Garcia,

Bea had fond memories of herding sheep with her siblings. She attended Highlands University, moving to Santa Fe in her early twenties. Here she met and married Bonifacio Sandoval. They lovingly raised a family of eight children, losing one son in Vietnam.

She cherished her career as secretary to the Christian Brothers at St. Michael’s High School & the College of Santa Fe, until retirement in 1977 & a move to Albuquerque. She was socially active with friends & family, Red Hat Society, friends at the Healthplex & local casino.

Bonifacio and oldest son, Phillip, preceded her in death. Her angels who remain to carry on her legacy include children Bonnie Gibbons (Rick), Juliana Roybal (Jim), Christine Sandoval, Jean Burt (Dave), Linda Sandoval, Roberta Marquez (Gilbert), and Victor Sandoval (Marguerite); 15 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; four siblings; many nieces & nephews. All will forever remember her beautiful smile, wonderful humor & unconditional love.

Her life will be celebrated at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming NE, ABQ on Friday January 5, with a rosary at 10:30 am, followed by an 11:00 mass. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Carmelite Monastery, 49 Mount Carmel Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
