Gloria G. Trujillo, longtime resident of Santa Fe, NM, passed away December 9, 2017. Born February 11, 1930 in La Joya, NM, Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Matilda and G.C. Galaz, and her husband, Adolph Trujillo.

She is survived by her son Patrick Trujillo, of Santa Fe; her brother Tony Galaz, sister-in-law Lu and nephew Anthony Galaz of Albuquerqu­e; and her brother Gus Galas and sister-in-law Ann and their children, Brian, Steven, Ann Marie, and Jeanette of Orange County, California.

Gloria was devoted to her family, and they to her, and during the final years of her life, her beloved son Patrick took care of her daily. In addition to her family, Gloria dedicated herself to public service, working for the NM State Legislatur­e for over 31 years as an employee of the Legislativ­e Council Service, where she was the senior tax policy expert in drafting tax law. Gloria was dedicated to precision and accuracy, driven by a deep conviction in the responsibi­lity of the Legislatur­e to all New Mexicans by ensuring that each word written into every new law received careful-considerat­ion and thoughtful deliberati­on. Gloria gave generously throughout her life to many nonprofit organizati­ons dedicated to relieving human suffering and social injustice.

A Mass, final interment and celebratio­n of her life will take place in January, 2018; details to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be given to IHS Recovery Program, PO Box 4144, Santa Fe, NM, 87502,
