Mary Anna Booker, age 88, of Albuquerqu­e, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2017 at La Vida Llena Retirement Community.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; Pearl Garfield Campbell and Zetta Huber Campbell; brother Wallace Campbell, and niece Beverly Evans.

She is survived by her sister Glenna Taubert; husband, Stanley Robert Booker; son Kenneth (Rebecca) Booker; grandchild­ren, Christophe­r (Lisa Palmer) Booker and Ricky (Amanda) Booker; great-granddaugh­ter Reagan Booker; nieces Marcia Gahagan and Betsy Johnson; nephew John Campbell as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

Mary was born and raised in Lewisburg and Harrison, Ohio attending Harrison High School. She attended Ohio State University, was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and received a degree in education.

She was married to Stanley in Harrison on December 26, 1953. She taught elementary school at Del Paso Heights in Sacramento, CA while Stanley was in the Air Force at McClellan AFB. After Stanley graduated from Ohio State, the family moved to Albuquerqu­e, New Mexico in 1958 where Stanley worked at Sandia Labs. Mary was very involved in the community serving as a docent at the Museum of Albuquerqu­e for many years and participat­ing in AAUW and Alpha Chi Omega alumni activities at the University of New Mexico.

Her life was focused around her family and supporting Stanley as he dealt with health issues. Mary and Stanley moved to La Vida Llena in mid-2016 where they met many new friends and appreciate­d the staff’s kind help and assistance thru various health issues. Mary will be forever missed by all who knew her and lives that were touched by her.

Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Young Funeral Home in Ross, Ohio. Mary will be buried in the Venice Cemetery in Ross, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
