Willadean was born in 1931 to Artie L. Hood and Maudie L. Scott Hood in Spring Creek Oklahoma. As a child she also spent time living with her maternal grandparen­ts, William and Suzie Scott. When she was in 8th grade her and her mother moved to Konawa, Oklahoma. While attending Konawa high school she met Arthur Elliott Jr. when he returned to finish high school after being drafted for WWII. They married in 1949 when she turned 18 just before graduating high school. They started their family in late 1950 before Arthur left to serve in the Korean War. Willadean kept the home fires burning till his return. They went on to have four more children. In 1962 they moved their family to Albuquerqu­e NM. Willadean was a stay at home wife and mother who devoted her time to her large family. Willadean and Arthur were married 61 years till he passed in 2010. She is survived by their five children, Arthur Jerome Elliott and wife, Terri, Alan L. "Hoot" Elliott and wife, Anna, Dianne Elliott Jones and husband, Ron, Brenda Darlene Minor and husband, Roger, Rick Elliott and wife, Patti; 16 grandchild­ren, Loretta Hatch, Rebecca Kroeger, Miranda Haas, LeeAnna Vargas, Susan Leither, Deanna Sandy, Brian J. Pierce, Amber Chavez, Steve Bogart, Scott Bogart, Jonn Bogart, Brandon Minor, Ryan Minor, Amy Elliott-O’Neal and Rick Elliott and their spouses; 20 great-grandchild­ren; one great-great-granddaugh­ter; two nieces, Judy Long and Donna Norton; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Berry and Nina Berry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Elliott; her parents; two sisters, Wilma Jean Price and Mary Ellen Hood; and two step-brothers, Lillard Berry and Herman Berry. She will be greatly missed as the matriarch of this large family. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2017, 11:00 am at French Wyoming.
