AT BOOKWORKS: Louis Christen will sign “Summer on the White Grass: The Four Seasons of Morality” at 3 p.m. today. The book reveals the author’s experiences forming the basis of his concept of morality, the failure of world leadership and the decline of the moral character of our society today, wrapped around the story of a young man from Missouri’s efforts to find and experience the cowboy life.
Robert Upton will sign “Milo and the Dragon Cross” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11.
New Mexico youth who participated in Mock Human Rights Trials in Poland late last year will report on their international learning experience at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. New Mexico Human Rights Champion Regina Turner has been instrumental over the years in making it possible for New Mexico high school students to participate.

FRIENDS FOR THE PUBLIC LIBRARY will hold its monthly used book, DVD and CD sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Main Library, 501 Copper NW. Admission is $2, free after 1 p.m. and free for members and children. Proceeds benefit the city-county libraries.
