Leadership NM accepting applications for next class

Leadership New Mexico is accepting applications for its 2018-2019 Core Program and Connect New Mexico, The Next Generation of Leadership Program. Applications are available at www. leadershipnm.org or by calling 505398-1500. Deadline for submission is March 15.

The Core Program is a class of 40 to 45 leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors around the state, according to a news release from Leadership NM. The program, which lasts 10 months, addresses a variety of issues facing the state.

Connect New Mexico is designed to give young professionals, ages 25 to 40, an opportunity to develop leadership skills, learn how New Mexico systems and structures work and explore critical issues.

Leadership New Mexico seeks to create classes with a wide geographic base, diverse backgrounds and varied vocations. They are open to all citizens of the state. Successful applicants must demonstrate a dedication to New Mexico’s progress.

“We encourage applicants from all communities of New Mexico to apply. Our strength is diversity,” Patty Komko, president of Leadership New Mexico, said in the news release. “We bring together leaders from across the state that might not otherwise have met, and provide them the opportunity to learn about each other’s industry sectors and communities.”
