Richard Padilla

1957-2018

Richard Padilla, age 60, a resident of Belen,

New Mexico, passed away on February 15, 2018. He was born in 1957 to Elsie Jaramillo Padilla and Florian Padilla and passed away in the same home that he was born in. Richard was a gentle, quiet man of solitude. He retired as a chief building inspector from Valencia County after 26 years of service. Richard was an integral part of Padilla Farms. As a handyman, he could fix or make anything.

Richard is survived by his father, Florian Padilla of Belen; his two sisters, Elia Sanchez and husband, Roland Sanchez, of Bosque and Lillian Poelker and husband, David Poelker, of Missouri City, Texas; his brother, Gene Padilla and wife, Martina, of Belen; and his aunts, Dorla Jaramillo of Nevada, Sofie Benavides of Los Chavez, Margaret Gutierrez of Bosque Farms and Carmen Campos of Los Lunas.

All services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A Public Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
